#AnambahNSW - Purple Pear Farm

A small scale Biodynamic #Permaculture farm – using #sustainable and regenerative agriculture practices.

"Our goal is to show how permaculture, #biodynamics and #organic principles work equally well on apartment #balconies, in #backyards and on farms such as this.

The farm is a working farm with facilities to cater for groups in a hands-on and supported learning environment.

Our passion is for supplying nutritious food grown using Organic/Biodynamic sustainable and regenerative land practices.

We look forward to welcoming you on the farm soon."

Uncomfortable bedfellows? Burgundy and natural wine -

Why is natural wine a difficult topic to broach in Burgundy? Simon J Woolf explores the blurred lines between classical & natural ideals

The Morning Claret

Our bees are starting to become quite busy as Spring approaches.

This swarm of wild black Sicilian bees set up their hive two years ago, in an old wine barrel near the winery.
It wasn’t the safest place, so we decided to move them closer to the vineyard, in a quiet location with plenty of flowers.

Now they are enjoying their new home, and are contributing to the #biodiversity of Tenuta Belicello ❤️

@Hesperalis That schedule makes sense.

Useful information I gleaned from John Kempf’s brilliant Regenerative Agriculture podcast with Harriet Mella https://regenerativeagriculturepodcast.com/episode-71-harriet-mella was the best uptake for foliar feed (from sap analysis) is the week before the full moon. The least advantageous time is the week of the new moon.

I dabble in a bit of #RegenAg #KNF, #permaculture, #biodynamics.

When Spring arrives I’ll be making some IMO2 in the fridge into IMO3 with bran & then IMO4 with soil.

Regenerative Agriculture Podcast: Episode #71: Harriet Mella

Harriet Mella is an independent Austrian researcher known for her work uncovering the unexplained phenomena of plant growth and development. Informed by her background in microbiology, mycology, and biochemistry, Harriet has a unique capacity to describe little-known connections between emerging biological research and agriculture. During the interview, Harriet and John discuss:  Observations on epigenetic expressions and the role of optimal nutrition. The flexibility of plant architecture and its direct correlation with microbiome health. Harriet’s insights on zodiac rhythms, humic substances, Biodynamic methods, and numerous first-hand agricultural experiences. When a plant is no longer absorbing nitrate and how this affects water use efficiency and carbon cycling. Harriet’s findings on biophotonics and dark septate endophytes, and her explanation of their impact on plant health.   Building stable humic substances during the winter months with the assistance of specific fungal groups. Harriet Mella’s new online course, “Carbon Micro Cycling,” explores the connections between soil carbon and soil fertility. Sign up for the course on Kind Harvest today!

Unity Village Projects Disclosed: Project Weeding Ant

In this series I will disclose projects for the Unity Village when it makes sense to do so. Since I’m typing on my phone and I have a lot of other posts to write this might take a while.
