Detailliertes Wissen über Wale in europäischen Gewässern wird das mit Jahresbeginn gestartete Biodiversa+ Projekt „eWHALE“ unter der Leitung von Molekularökologin Bettina Thalinger von der Universität Innsbruck liefern. Das länderübergreifende Forschungsvorhaben bringt Partner*innen aus Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Bevölkerung zusammen, um mithilfe von Wasserproben ein weitreichendes, nicht-invasives Wal- und Biodiversitäts-Monitoring aufzubauen.
