Went back to the #KiloChurch this morning after being away a couple weeks because of my mom's illness and passing.

There were moments that were tangibly, painfully cringe, and the music was so loud that I really did need earplugs (which they provided).

But then the message was actually pretty on-point, talking about the value of friendships and welcoming communities out of the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, so...

I guess I'll go back next week.

Oh, and the group leader from my previous #BSF / #BibleStudyFellowship that I dropped out of called me asking me if I wanted to join the next one. I wasn't even thinking about it, but we actually had a really nice convo, so I guess I'm in. XD

There's a gent named Blake in my #BibleStudyFellowship class, and he's a really great guy.

It's just that nearly every time he walks into the room, my #IntrusiveThoughts try to make me call him "Bel-LA-kay" like from that classic #KeyAndPeele urban substitute teacher skit. XD

Went to #BibleStudyFellowship tonight.

It's honestly been a mixed bag... the doctrine steers heavily evangelical and even kinda baptisty at times, but we had a really good fellowship tonight because one of the guys shared his testimony in a very personal and vulnerable way.

It really made my day. :)

Went to a Bible Study Fellowship for the first time last night.
It was pretty cool!
I had an honest moment of sadness when I realized that we were not only divided by gender but also age group. (I'm still young! Don't cage me in with the old geezers! I'm 25 in my soul!!!)

But it was great, and I grew to have a lot of fondness for those old guys (no, I'm not telling you my age, lol)

I just wish there wasn't so much pulpit-teaching and more group time. Like, all of it. :D
