In 2016, he was illegally sentenced to 10 years in prison in a maximum security colony. The only evidence in the case was two black and white photographs supposedly with a charred form of special forces.

It was on this day that #Berkut received a criminal order to disperse the protesters near #Verkhovna_Rada. Then, the security forces tore down the barricade on #Instytutska and began storming the #Euromaidan. Tear gas and flash-bang grenades were used. By evening, the "clean-up" began. Then they set fire to the tent city and the Trade Union House - it burned all night.
