Правозахисницю Олександру Матвійчук відзначили міжнародною премією World Woman Hero.

Нагородження відбулося під час Всесвітнього економічного форуму в Давосі. За її словами, церемонія стала нагодою порушити питання щодо ситуації в Україні під час війни.

Олександра Матвійчук та очолюваний нею "Центр громадянських свобод" у 2014 році відправили своїх представників до Криму для фіксації порушень прав людини та воєнних злочинів. Матвійчук ініціювала та координувала масштабні міжнародні кампанії #LetMyPeopleGo та #SaveOlegSentsov. Вона активно висвітлює проблему переслідування кримських татар, регулярно доповідає на міжнародних майданчиках про ситуацію з тортурами, зникненнями людей та порушенням права на справедливий суд в окупованому Криму.
