Ballots, Barriers & the Battle for Election Integrity – #Indivisible Cumberland County welcomes Secretary of State #ShennaBellows for a public discussion on election integrity, including her 2023 decision to bar former President Donald Trump from Maine’s primary ballot under the 14th Amendment’s insurrection clause. Bellows will also discuss her office’s ongoing work to increase election transparency, including livestreaming ballot tabulations and educating voters on Maine’s ranked-choice voting process. She will also address the proposed November referendum that would impose new photo ID requirements and restrict absentee voting by eliminating two days of early voting, limiting drop boxes, and tightening absentee ballot requests. https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/791604/
