L’Ufficio dell’ONU per i diritti umani ha espresso preoccupazione per le proteste in corso in Iran e le segnalazioni di violenze.
L’Alto Commissario ONU per i diritti umani, Volker Türk, ha esortato le autorità iraniane a rispettare la libertà di espressione, di associazione e di manifestazione pacifica, ribadendo che tutte le persone devono poter protestare pacificamente ed esprimere le proprie rivendicazioni.

Almeno dodici uomini curdi sono stati arrestati dalle forze della Repubblica Islamica dell’Iran nelle città di Badreh, Darreh Shahr e Sarpol-e Zahab nel contesto delle proteste in corso. Tutti i detenuti sono stati trasferiti in luoghi sconosciuti e non sono disponibili informazioni sul loro stato di salute o sulla loro situazione legale

Negli ultimi giorni si registra un’ulteriore escalation degli arresti in #Iran, con almeno 77 nuove persone fermate mentre le proteste continuano in varie città del Paese. I dati raccolti da Hengaw Organization for Human Rights indicano che tra i detenuti ci sono 45 curdi e 23 lor, comprese almeno 4 donne e 6 bambini. Il totale degli arresti negli ultimi sei giorni raggiunge così quota 132

Durante le proteste in corso ad #Azna, nella provincia iraniana del Lorestan, le forze di sicurezza hanno aperto il fuoco sui manifestanti, uccidendo tre persone, tra cui un minore di 15 anni, e ferendone almeno 17.
