It’s not that hard, in the grand scheme of things. But it means less lock-in and less data can be collected about users and probably sold off to data brokers.
Micromobility offerings like bike share are great, folks who don’t have a bike (or don’t have it with them) have an easy way to get from point A to B without paying for a taxi or relying on buses (and there may not be a direct route).
Except when it’s run by a private, for-profit company who has a broken login system and you’re locked out. Looking at you BayWheels.
Coming up on a week since I’ve been able to login, and no help or meaningful response from support.
