We continue to sample for bat guano at bridges across western Canada. The project now has sampling sites in Alberta, Saskatchewan and the NWT. We are also coordinating with British Columbia. As we continue to search more bridges, we are finding a few more maternity colonies - like this Big Brown Bat colony. Now that we know bats in Alberta use bridges for this purpose, we can suggest best management practices for bridge maintenance! #BatsNeedFriends
