Since 1995, Bryan Konefsky has supported moving image artists from around the world through his work with Basement Films and his Experiments in Cinema film festival. This screening marks a rare opportunity for New Mexicans to see Konefsky’s moving image work. Konefsky’s work explores issues such as identity, community and place, political corruption and urban decay, notions of masculinity - from the personal to widening circles of the political. His films have been showcased at museums and film festivals in countries such as Argentina, Cuba, Germany, Norway, Russia, South Korea, Spain and the UK.
