Prime Minister’s announcement of a RM4.7 billion allocation in Budget 2024 to revive the plan to build five stations on the #LRT3 line in #Selangor that was cancelled in 2018 has raised eyebrows.

The 37km LRT3 line will connect #BandarUtama to #JohanSetia in #Klang, and is currently under construction.

With budget of RM4.7 billion, the average cost to build each #station is roughly RM940 million.

Five stations along the #LRT Shah Alam line that were previously cancelled will be built.

The line connects #Klang with #BandarUtama and is expected to begin operations by March 2025.

The additional cost for the five provisional #station will be RM 5.3 billion.

#Prasarana will be getting 150 new #electricbus and build three new #bus #depot, with a cost of RM 600 million, to be the #lastmile solution for #passenger using LRT #ShahAlam line.
