Yesterday's Galway Wankpanzer of the day (Can you call a Korean car a "Wankpanzer"). Drove out in front of me from the stop sign on Mill St as I was cycling Dominick St to Bridge St. The second car to do it, didn't even look right for oncoming traffic, be that cars or bicycles.
On my way to visit my father in the hospital today I came across the dumbest human I’ve ever had contact with.
She was driving the wrong way on the highway. To borrow an old South Park catchphrase, she was literally COMING RIGHT FOR US! She slammed on her breaks and did a three point turn in the middle of the VFW highway in Lowell.
Ready for the irony? I passed her, swearing at her vehemently, as she well deserved, and a couple miles later she pulled into the hospital parking garage with me. Let’s hope she checked herself in for whatever problem resulted in her driving on the wrong side of a divided highway.

I once had a truck tailgating people (including me) and messing around on his phone while driving on the crowded-but-fast-moving Chicago tollway.
His company number was on the truck.
While he was on my butt, I had my husband dial the number. A lady answered. I told her what he was doing, where we were, and that he was WAY too close on my backside. I said I could see him on his phone in my mirror.
She asked me to stay on the phone a minute and put me on hold.
While she was gone, I saw his face go a bit pale. He put down the phone, and his truck backed WAAYY off.
She came back on the line.
"Is he still on the phone?" she asked.
"Nope," I replied. "Plus, he backed off nicely."
"Good," she said, genuinely appreciative. "THANK YOU for letting us know!" 😄
