I first saw a BLOB DYLAN tag in Bushwick, Brooklyn, in January 2021. That launched me on a journey toward becoming one of the internet's leading BLOB DYLAN scholars (or so I tell myself). Despite my research on the matter of BLOB, I never saw a BLOB DYLAN tag in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, which is one of his stomping grounds (or so I hear). However, that all changed on the afternoon of May 4, 2025. I present to you a BLOB DYLAN tag seen on Roebling Street.

I first saw BLOB DYLAN graffiti when I visited Bushwick, Brooklyn, in January 2021. Despite being a life-long resident of Brooklyn, that was only the second time I had been to Bushwick. I did not see any more BLOB DYLAN's prior to May 26, 2024, when I crossed into Bushwick for the third time. I was on about mile 18 of what would end up being a 22.6 mile walk, but that did not stop me from documenting my first BLOB in more than three years.

(Note: I was not 100% sure whether this was in Bushwick or Ridgewood until I checked a map. Fortunately, I made note of the fact I found BLOB at the intersection of Wycoff and DeKalb Avenues.)

I posted my photo of "Blob Dylan" graffiti in Bushwick, Brooklyn, to Pixelfed a couple of months ago (still on my profile). That photo was associated with my article on the Blob Dylan mystery. I found cause to write a follow-up post on the subject, but I needed a new picture for the website. My friend and New Leaf Journal colleague, @VictorVGurbo , retouches photos for publication. I asked him to make an "artsy" version of my Blob Dylan photo. This is the result. Snazzy, if I do so say myself.
