Zinwa Q25 Pro: El Regreso del BlackBerry con Android

Una compañía china, Zinwa Technologies, resucita el clásico BlackBerry Classic (Q20) con un hardware modernizado, sistema operativo Android y un precio competitivo, apostando por la nostalgia del teclado físico en un mercado dominado por las pantallas táctiles (Fuente Zinwa).

BlackBerry, el icónico teléfono con teclado QWERTY que dominó la industria en su momento, está de regreso, aunque no de la mano de su creador original. Una empresa china, Zinwa Technologies, ha decidido revivir el popular BlackBerry Classic Q20, transformándolo en un smartphone Android moderno.

El nuevo dispositivo, llamado Zinwa Q25 Pro, será comercializado con el sistema operativo Android 15, un chipset MediaTek Helio G99, cámaras mejoradas y una batería de mayor capacidad, todo ello manteniendo el diseño clásico y el teclado físico que muchos usuarios nostálgicos echan de menos.

El Zinwa Q25 Pro está diseñado para ser una fusión de lo clásico y lo moderno. Internamente, el teléfono ha sido completamente renovado con una nueva placa base, 12GB de RAM, hasta 256GB de almacenamiento interno y una batería de 3,000 mAh, una mejora considerable respecto a las especificaciones originales del Q20. Las cámaras también han recibido una importante actualización, con un sensor principal de 50MP y una cámara frontal de 8MP.

Además, el dispositivo incluirá un puerto USB-C para carga y datos, así como un chip NFC. La compañía ofrecerá el Zinwa Q25 Pro en dos ediciones, la Basic y la Pro, con un precio de venta de $450. Aunque este proyecto es, por ahora, un esfuerzo único, Zinwa Technologies no descarta resucitar otros modelos icónicos de BlackBerry, como el Passport y el KeyOne, si el Q25 Pro tiene una buena acogida en el mercado.

I just read: #BlackBerryClassic is being ressurected as #ZINWAQ25. I've never had one, but I remember wanting a physical QWERTY phone and using the BBM app. Only #Android 13 support. I wonder if it'll be popular though, as I feel text is not priority for most and people want real estate to watch video. I would love to get the physical buttons as I do type quite a bit. I think it'll be for the nostalgia factor... There are other options like #unihertz which should be a good alternative. #phones

I took this photo on New York City's Brooklyn Bridge with my BlackBerry Classic phone camera on August 12, 2019. This photo is next to the first Manhattan pedestrian exit and close to the second. Back in 2019, the small pedestrian walkway was split between walkers and bikers (the bikes were banished to a separate path in 2021). The Bridge was difficult to navigate without NYC DOT trucks doing trash pickup in broad daylight. My photo does not capture how much it was struggling, but note that the only way around it was for walkers to go into the bike path (left side was for walkers).

I originally took this photo of a green car with a witch's hat in October 2020, and published an article (too late for Halloween) in November 2020. I used my BlackBerry Classic to take the photos. While the Classic camera is capable of some surprisingly good photos, these did not come out well. The article received some traffic of late, so I decided to crop the photos and remaster them with Upscayl. This is now the better of the two.
