Mistigram: are you brave enough to enter the #graffiti-covered tunnel in London’s #Millwall district? I believe @blippypixel only made a #BBCMicro high resolution graphics sketch of it and leaves its contents to the imagination of the viewer, though who knows what happened after he put the stylus down. This piece was included in the MIST0625 artpack collection released one year ago this month.

Here are some British computers appearing on British TV. An episode of "Dodger, Bonzo & the Rest" has two Amstrads: a CPC 464 and a CPC 6128. "Making Out" has another Amstrad with a PC 1512 appearing in some scenes. An episode of "Maths Counts" has a crucial role for an Acorn BBC Micro and another Acorn machine, the rather rare Communicator, makes its debut appearance in an episode of "Bugs".

To help me test two-player #BBCMicro Elite, I’ve added “AI Pilot” as an option

It uses the game’s 1984 tactics routines to fly player 2 (bottom view)

It’s really interesting to watch Elite’s original “AI” from inside the other ship’s cockpit - in this case, an NPC Python

The top view is a human player, the bottom view is the AI

You can see the AI’s view jumping around quite a bit

This is because pitch and roll are either fully on or fully off for AI ships - there is no fine control

To make up for this, AI ships don't have to be 100% accurate to make a hit

In this configuration, two-player Elite is effectively the same as standard single-player Elite, but with the bottom view showing the cockpit of the computer-controlled AI ship

So this is what the world looks like for Elite NPCs!

I'll definitely be leaving this feature in - it’s great fun

Me lo estoy pasando bomba pasando programas del curso de programación INPUT de Marshall Cavendish para el Acorn BBC Micro. Con el editor online de BBC BASIC (https://bbcmic.ro/), resulta muy fácil preservarlos.

Por ejemplo, el programa Calendario y Diario (Calendar & Diary, en inglés) de los nº 32 a 34 de la colección.

Aún me quedan artículos del 34 hasta el nº 51 por revisar.

Two-player #BBCMicro Elite will essentially be a deep-space dogfight game

The rest of Elite wouldn’t be that exciting with two players, so I’m sticking to the core combat experience

When you fire up two-player Elite, you will be able choose what kind of contest you both want

Un editor de BASIC online para BBC Micro, con el que escribir, crear y editar programas para este ordenador de Acorn. Incluso se pueden insertar programas desde archivos de texto para después pasarlos a cinta o disco.

Lo he probado con uno en concreto del curso INPUT de Marshall Cavendish, nº 31: "Gunfight" (págs. 978-979). Una vez testeado, lo he digitalizado a disco.
