So here’s the deal, spelled out clearly.

The Minister requires public servants to tell him only what he wants to hear.

If the advice is shown to be wrong, the public servants take the fall.

This dynamic has been clear since John Howard (think ‘children overboard’, ‘weapons of mass destruction’). It was exploited cynically, for political gain, by Scott Morrison in advancing the illegal - and obviously indefensible - practice of raising debts using different criteria from those used to calculate entitlements.

So many good people left the APS because we could not bear it. Those who remained understood that the price of career advancement is complicity.

The cost for the people unjustly maligned & illegally punished? Irrelevant.

Shame.

Anthony Albanese's National Anti-Corruption Commission #NACC, which AIUI turned out to be mainly focused on educating against corruption, seems so poorly staffed that its internal functioning appears corrupt and is being investigated by the Inspector of the NACC #GailFurness.

The unreasonable, long term, and still ongoing, malfunctioning of NDIS public servants adds significant stress to the lives of National Disability Insurance Scheme recipients.

A lot of these people are already under a lot of stress.

That the government is adding more and more is just smh vile. And this is abusive.

How is the public ever going to regain confidence in the #AustralianPublicService?

#AnthonyAlbanese's government seems to think that #CuttingOffBenefits, the #RoboDebtCoverup, the #AgedCareCrisis and the #PWC scandal will fade away and the corruption that produced them will be forgotten.

Looks more like letting syphilis go untreated.
