Edit: Solution was just to switch to Proton 9 This is a weird one involving many moving parts, so I’m looking for some pointers on where I can even start trouble-shooting: - When I open My Summer Car (on Steam) in fullscreen mode, the keyboard doesn’t work in game. - When I start it in windowed mode, it works normally. - When I then select full screen in the window menu, it works partially (some buttons in game don’t react). - Other games I tested have no issue. - It works fine on Debian, but the issue is present on more bleeding edge distros (tested Arch, Endeavor and Bazzite) - Flatpak or native Steam makes no difference - Only tested KDE Plasma with Wayland My best guess is that the issue is related to Wayland somehow, and that the game doesn’t mesh with the newer Plasma version, but I’d love to know if there’s a way to troubleshoot or work around this. Thanks in advance!

I was curious about CatchyOS, but I understand it’s really intended for the latest and greatest hardware. One of the few distros that not friendly to older tech. I only have an older machine to test: B450 Aorus M Ryzen 7 5700 GTX 1660 Ti 32GB DD4 Would it be worth testing Catchy on this machine, or is my hardware too old to play?

Hey anyone running #GarudaLinux - I'm not but two of my friends are, and I have a couple of questions I was hoping could be answered.

  • One of them can't upgrade their system at the moment as librewolf can't resolve the dependency libvpx.so=11-64

  • The Other hasn''t been able use Blender for the last 2 months because Python is incompatible (apparently a function name changed to do with string manipulation)

    • Any advice on how I can help them fix this?

    Watching #TheRookie - That's not Windows or MacOS, looks kinda sorta like XP, BUT that icon, second row on the left, I've only ever seen that on the GParted Live Disk.

    Likely the hard drive is just at its end of life (and has been for a couple years.) Or it could be that Windows Defender takes a long time to scan everything, (because the hard drive is end of life,) everytime I start it up, which is once every year or so.

    But would I even be able to answer the question of is it my hard drive or is it windows from a bootable USB?

    I tried and the installer encounters an unexpected error as it reaches 100%. This removes all the files from the Program Files folder. If I rename the folder before clicking the continue button I can keep all the binaries installed, but the application won’t run saying it’s missing a core dll. Has anyone tried and succeeded?
