Today in #Valheim
Moushtie and I did final preparations for #thequeen . It wasn't actually a particularly difficult battle with well levelled up players.
We then headed to Ashlands and prepared our very first base there - managing to kill at least one of each of the mobs there. Ashlands is a very difficult biome, isn't it!
So in #Valheim overnight
I'm leveling up Soren ready for #TheQueen fight. Headed down as far south as I could in #Mistlands taking out a few #seekers and #gjall as I could. Defeated a ⭐⭐ seeker soldier easily which is an indicator we're ready for the boss.
Out of curiosity and the fact I could just see the red glow of Ashlands I dumped my gear and sailed down there. Spent 5 minutes in the hot biome getting scared by everything but I did manage to collect a bit of ashwood, grausten and proussite powder.
Have you realised how long the longship actually lasts in Valheim in the #ashlands ? We don't have majestic carapace yet so it was my only option but it actually lasted long enough to sail there and back!
Tonight in stream we fight the beetle lady 😀 although I'll visiting in-laws so I may be later in.
Michael#SteamReplay for 2025. I didn't get as much gaming in as I wanted as it was a busy year with travel and work. Next year I'd like to finally get through the #ashlands biome in #valheim and maybe give #witcher3 or #fallout4 a playthrough
Last night in #valheim I set out to do some mining in the #ashlands, but ended up running into to a fallen valkyrie, several one star askvins and a while bunch of charred. Suffice it to say I didn't last long and ended up dying. It took a few corpse runs to recover my loot, and I used up a lot of my good food. Not having any fire resistance potions certainly didn't help. One step forward, two steps back 😔 #linuxgaming
After making little progress in the #Ashlands for a few weeks, I decided to spruce up my base with some upgrades.
I upgraded my main base door with a darkwood gate to help keep the mob raiders at bay. I also added some stone to my entrance way. Finally I made the long trek from the Ashlands back to base with some flametal ore, which I then smelted and turned into an upgrade for my black forge.
Now I can upgrade all my mistlands gear to level 4, which should help me stay alive longer. #valheim

Spent some quality time with #valhiem this weekend. My first project involved cleaning up my cooking setup - organizing my ingredients and adding a roof. I also created a hen house for my chickens, but didn't get a screenshot.
My second project involved building a forward operating base in the #Ashlands that was strong enough to withstand the mobs there. I built a stone cutter and used the stone that is readily available in the biome to build some walls. I even built a protected roof #pcgaming
