es war humblebundle-sale und ich hab einen htpc mit bazzite-deck-gnome. also dachte ich mir, es wäre ein gute idee mir ein rennspiel zu kaufen: assetto corsa. also schnell in der protondb geguckt. zu schnell. leider nicht auf die titel geklickt sondern mich nur in der übersicht auf den gold status verlassen. spiel installiert, spiel startet nicht, also doch mal geklickt und da waren sie. die gefühlt 300 meldungen mit “spiel startet nicht, hab script xy benutzt” oder “lief nur mit der cachy-proton version” oder auch “wenn du arch hast, installier einfach ...” gut daran: die lösung war nicht weit weg, also pc gestartet, und dann etwas copy&paste via ssh und schon lief das spiel :) [...]

Got Steam installed on Fedora and started playing around a game called Farthest Frontier...

It runs very smoothly! Though only 60fps because that's what Fedora thinks my monitor can do... But 60fps is plenty for this village / town / city building game!

PSA: If you have Steam on Linux, you might need to change the .desktop file's exec key so it's "steam" and not "steam-runtime" if there's a .desktop for it in "~/.local/share/applications". It must've changed in an update recently.

It's normal for Steam and its related processes to use something like 1,000% of my CPU, right?

(It probably really is fine, but this is the most I've ever seen a single process consuming.)
