This ink drawing was made by a friend at art group today. She is an amazing artist. We had a small discussion about our differing styles. She doesn't plan; her hand moves and stuff happens. My style is much more planned; each next step built on the previous.

I asked if I could buy this picture from her. She gave it to me. My heart.

In art group last week, I met an archaeologist. She was amazing and full of info and context.

The conversation was low on pressure, high on info, and fascinating from start to finish.

She came again today! We had Bonkwave on the speakers, an interesting cadre of artists, and some brilliant creations.

Anyway, the archaeologist gave me a book! It's a mammoth of a book discussing the Mediterranean Sea and its peoples, from the early pleistocene to about four thousand years ago. Trade, linguistics, power structures, climate, religion; it touches on so many subjects.

She needed time alone because she's writing her new paper. She pulled out this luggable from her backpack. A Canon StarWriter Jet 300.

Just...what a day.
