#Wikipedia, citing several sources, writes that prior to her death: "#Geravand's friends who took her to the hospital were under arrest for three days. #Geravand's mother and a journalist for the daily newspaper #Shargh who was interviewing her were arrested. The intensive care unit of the hospital where Geravand was taken was guarded by security agents."

Armita Geravand has died.
#Armita_Geravand, 16-year-old girl from #Iran, was reported "brain dead".
On October 1, #Armita boarded a train in #Tehran not wearing a hijab. #Iranian activists say this caused physical violence from #Iranian morality police as punishment for breaking the strict hijab-wearing rules which led to her collapsing, being taken to hospital (under tight security) and the subsequent brain death.
#Iranian authorities insist #Armita simply fainted on her own.
