In honour of #StGeorgesDay, the #StGeorge #kastro #castle #Kefalonia. First fortified by the Byzantines and then the Venetians, it was the island's social and administrative centre until the capital was moved to #Argostoli. From its elevated position, it dominates the south area.
Drapano Bridge #Kefalonia. Built by the Swiss engineer Du Bosset in 1813, it straddles the Koutavos Lagoon, linking #Argostoli with the small village of Drapano. Apparently the world's longest stone bridge over sea water.
