Recently I learned about #aquamation as a much more Earth-friendly alternative to cremation. No fossil fuels involved. Far less energy used.
There's human composting, too, which seems similar to aquamation in terms of sustainability.
I don't think I have a preference between these two choices but would like one of them. (Preferably not any time soon.) Not yet legal for humans in MA, unfortunately, but I could be transported to VT.
This seems to be a fairly unbiased comparison: https://earthfuneral.com/resources/human-composting-vs-aquamation/ And this: https://www.sierraclub.org/sierra/2015-6-november-december/ask-mr-green/hey-mr-green-alkaline-hydrolysis-more-ecofriendly
What do you think? Would you choose one of these methods?
