This investigation examined mining operations in the Tapajós River Basin, where between 2022 and 2026, 263 of the 540 authorized mining activities recorded gold sales that were inconsistent with actual mining activity.

Donald Trump ripete da settimane di aver annullato le capacità militari dell’Iran, ma la realtà sarebbe ben diversa. A sostenerlo è il New York Times che, sulla base di informazioni dell’intelligence statunitense, afferma che sia falsa “la rappresentazione pubblica, da parte dell’amministrazione Trump, di un esercito iraniano distrutto”.
Ciò, infatti, “è in netto contrasto con quanto le agenzie di intelligence statunitensi comunicano ai politici a porte chiuse”, secondo valutazioni classificate risalenti all’inizio di questo mese, che mostrano come “l’Iran abbia riacquistato l’accesso alla maggior parte dei suoi siti missilistici, delle rampe di lancio e delle strutture sotterranee”.
Particolarmente critica è la situazione lungo lo Stretto di Hormuz dove, sempre secondo i dossier degli 007, Teheran “ha ripristinato l’accesso operativo a 30 dei 33 siti missilistici”. Questi ultimi potrebbero minacciare le navi da guerra e le petroliere americane che transitano in questo stretto lembo di mare.

Le stesse fonti ascoltate dal New York Times rivelano che tali siti missilistici, pur avendo subito danni, in alcuni casi anche ingenti, possono essere ancora utilizzati. L’Iran, infatti, dispone di rampe di lancio mobili all’interno dei siti, che permettono di spostare i missili in altre posizioni; in alcuni casi, però, ciò non sarebbe neppure necessario, poiché i missili potrebbero essere lanciati direttamente dalle strutture esistenti.
L’aspetto più preoccupante è che, sempre secondo l’intelligence americana, l’Iran manterrebbe ancora circa il 70% dei suoi lanciatori mobili sul territorio nazionale e conserverebbe più o meno il 70% del proprio arsenale missilistico prebellico, composto da missili balistici, in grado di colpire altri Paesi della regione, e da missili da crociera a corto raggio.

Non si ferma il maxi incendio partito nei giorni scorsi sul monte Faeta, provincia di Lucca, che ha raggiunto anche il versante pisano, minacciando Asciano, frazione del comune di San Giuliano Terme (Pisa). Nella notte tra giovedì e venerdì 1 maggio sono state evacuate oltre 3mila persone “in via precauzionale” a causa del “forte vento”, come ha spiegato il presidente della Regione Toscana, Eugenio Giani.
Nel frattempo le squadre di terra di vigili del fuoco e volontari di protezione civile hanno continuato a fronteggiare il fuoco: al pomeriggio di oggi, il perimetro del rogo sul Monte Faeta risulta attualmente contenuto per circa il 70%, con l’obiettivo di arrivare a contenerlo interamente nel corso della nottata e nella giornata di sabato 2 maggio. Lo rende noto la Regione Toscana, spiegando anche che a seguito degli ulteriori rilievi effettuati dai tecnici antincendi boschivi la stima della superficie percorsa dal fuoco è stata aggiornata a circa 710 ettari.
Particolare attenzione è rivolta alle numerose aree interne al perimetro già interessato dal fuoco che risultano non bruciate o solo parzialmente percorse: si tratta di zone che possono riattivarsi con fronti anche intensi, generando nuove colonne di fumo e possibili salti di fuoco all’esterno del perimetro. Per sabato è previsto un cambio di vento con rotazione a nord-ovest che, se confermato, potrebbe determinare nuove criticità.

Meanwhile, firefighting teams and civil protection volunteers continued to confront the fire: this afternoon, the perimeter of the fire on Mount Faeta is currently contained at approximately 70%, with the goal of completely containing it during the night and Saturday, May 2nd. This is announced by the Tuscany Region, which also explains that following further surveys by forest fire technicians, the estimated area affected by the fire has been updated to approximately 710 hectares.

Particular attention is being paid to the numerous areas inside the perimeter already affected by the fire that have not been burned or only partially traversed: these are zones that could reactivate with fronts, even intense, generating new smoke columns and possible fire jumps outside the perimeter. Wind change is expected for Saturday with rotation to the northwest, which, if confirmed, could determine new critical situations.
