I can remember back in the late 00s -- when #xitter was in its infancy -- being the only account using the #AnnistonAL hashtag. That would change in just a few years as that #hashtag became a fantastic source of local info.

Now here on #mastodon and the larger #fediverse, I can't wait to see what else starts popping up on the #ArdmoreOK hashtag. I've already found great local stuff (and accounts) with the #Oklahoma hashtag!

In the unlikely event anybody from east #Alabama in between 2002 and 2004 follows me here on the #fediverse, happy #1213 Day!

(For those unaware, "1213 Rock Shows" was an all-ages music venue in #AnnistonAL at the time)
