Only about 25% of mass shootings are associated with non-psychotic psychiatric or neurological illnesses (depression, for example) with another approximately 5% related to severe mental illness. #DepressedPeople often don’t have the energy to commit violent crimes, and #PsychoticPeople usually have trouble executing an elaborate plan. It’s #AngryPeople who kill, particularly #AngryMen with access to firearms.

I like that we’re flying our #flags at #HalfStaff to honor the #victims of a #MassShooting in the #US. That said, by my count there have been 73 mass shooting #deaths so far this month.

At this rate we’re going to need to just leave them there until it becomes a bit more difficult for #AngryMen to acquire #guns to address their #insecurities.
