I *always* tell people' Make sure you label your tracks properly so that if you come back to it in 6 months or 6 years, or give your project to someone, they can find it, if they need to perform sound replacement etc.'
Coming back to a midi file I last modified on March 21 of 2014, I find two tracks simply labeled as 'Scary' and 'Sounds.'
I was able to find the correct sound for 'Scary' but 'Sounds' still eludes me. I am pissed at myself for being a certifiable idiot!
Do not be me.

These were software instruments as well, meaning there's no instrument definition for those two tracks, so it was a lot of guesswork.
All the other tracks in the project were from my Fantom-XR so very easy to relocate.

well that was a fairly stupid way to spend the 45 minutes before bed. (the lights in my sister's office and bedroom mysteriously flickered and went out. no other lights in the house were affected, and a complete reset of our fuse box did not fix the problem. time to call an electrician, unfortunately. man, this house is so ffff--) #AngryFace
