Confermata in appello la condanna a otto mesi di reclusione per Andrea Delmastro, ex sottosegretario alla Giustizia, accusato di rivelazione del segreto d’ufficio nel caso legato all’anarchico Alfredo Cospito. I giudici hanno inoltre precisato che il deposito delle motivazioni della sentenza avverrà entro 90 giorni.
Al termine dell’udienza, davanti ai cronisti presenti, Delmastro ha dichiarato: “Non condivido la decisione della Corte d’appello, ma ne prendo atto. Non ho alcuna intenzione di fermarmi qui. Andrò fino in Cassazione, forte di quattro richieste assolutorie, nella certezza di riuscire finalmente a dimostrare la correttezza del mio operato, senza se e senza ma”.

Accanto a lui era presente anche il suo difensore, l’avvocato Andrea Milani, che ha commentato: “È un caso per il quale sono disposto ad andare fino in fondo. Attendiamo le motivazioni della sentenza, ma ricorreremo sicuramente in Cassazione. Siamo delusi e stupiti dalla decisione di questo pomeriggio. Alla luce delle parole della procura generale e della ricostruzione emersa, non c’erano dubbi: le presunte notizie rivelate non erano segrete”.

The conviction of eight months imprisonment for Andrea Delmastro, former Justice Undersecretary, was confirmed on appeal in the case linked to anarchist Alfredo Cospito, for disclosing confidential information. The judges also specified that the reasons for the sentence will be delivered within 90 days.

At the end of the hearing, before the journalists present, Delmastro stated: “I do not share the decision of the Court of Appeal, but I accept it. I have no intention of stopping here. I will go all the way to the Supreme Court, confident in being able to finally prove the correctness of my actions, without ifs or buts.”
