Angehängt: 1 Bild #books #reading #bookreview #AmReading Amy Chua - World on Fire (2004) In general, great and eyes opening #book! Don’t get deterred by her explicit language e.g. when she speaks about violence, read it till the end! I can recommend the book, if you are interested on how foreign societies became what they are today and what their recent history is telling us. With many many examples all over the world. If you like “le monde diplomatique” or "Mit offenen Karten/ Le Dessous des cartes", then go for it.

As one of the people in the video pointed out, we never should be at the point where we are thinking about questions like "who gets to stay," "when do I have to go".
It reminds me of the #ZDF Wannseekonferenz, where Nazi laws were discussed about who can be killed and who is a "good Jew"... We should never allow our legal system to allow such laws. Separation of powers is crucial for a well-functioning state, as mentioned in #AmyChua's World on fire.
