My Cape Cod cottage is 75 years old & has been through multiple renovations.

The newest renovation (begun last week) is my back bathroom, which was probably added in the 1960s or 70s. There used to be a shower stall in a far corner & apparently a door where the most recent bathtub was located. It's like archeology.

I found this architectural history of Cape Cod cottages on Wikipedia:

The art and architecture of the Wilbur J. Cohen Federal Building is worth saving

The Wilbur J. Cohen Building in Washington, D.C. is managed like most federal office buildings by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), the agency overseeing the government’s new “accelerated disposals” process. The building is architecturally important and notably includes some of the most important New Deal–era murals.
