Alternate meat adoption suggestions
I had an Impossible burger for lunch. It was tasty. I eat alternative meat products periodically but still consume traditional meat based meals.
Many studies show the health and environmental benefits of alternate meat as at least a part time choice.
I don’t think that people should be forced to adopt a non-meat based diet, but incentives can work to help people choose alternative meat products periodically.
Here are some ideas:
1. Eliminate the business tax on the production and distribution of alternate meat products.
2. Eliminate consumer taxes on the purchase of alternate meat products.
3. Eliminate subsidies and raise the taxes for traditional meat growers, meat packers, and distributors.
4. Provide alternate meats products for free in school lunch programs.
5. Educate children about the benefits of alternative meat and the consequences of traditional meat consumption.
