Trying to shop for anything online, now we aren't part of Eu trading standards rules is like playing bran tub and none of the finds are gems.

I am exhausted searching for a decent 4 in 1 aircon system that doesnt require installing as my landlord wont allow them.

Any good personal experience recommends for something BTU9000 and over are most welcomed.

The real haste is because daughter with her chronic health issues and various medications pretty much only avoided a heatstroke by me ending up with heat exhaustion trying to keep her in cool places and comfortable. What a time not to be in full health.

I'm writing the notes now, while trying not to melt, thanks to stupid humans trying to destroy their planet. The #heatwave is so bad that my home #aircon is almost useless, so I'm only emerging from my lair tonight to drive an aircon car to an aircon place for chips.

What our grumpy cat would be doing if we had Aircon in the house.

I mean she’s not wrong, it’s the SUV solution to road safety all over again.
But the short term problem is real.
Sure we can insist on using rooftop solar - which is just local energy transfer - but surely this isn’t viable in cities.

Was reminded of spending one autumn living in St Louis, MO, in 1992.

A quite natty small Air-Con unit poked thru my apartment's sash-window, resting on a shelf external to the building but, as a newbie, I hadn't realised residents got them stored by building management as winter approaches, to avoid freezing as wintry draughts swirl around the poorly sealed gaps twixt window frame and air-con unit.
