I made a larger triangle tree maquette last night. As fun as the twist branches tree is, I feel like the triangle tree will be easiest for a new person to make. There is a lot of surface for collage to be added. We might even make up a small kit with the three triangles already cut, maybe even folded.

I’m playing with 3D tree shapes for a big, collaborative project in early June. I want easy to construct trees that can have collage elements added by each participant.

One is two, fussy cut shapes glued together.

My simple, triangle trees I made from the cutoff pieces left after making a giant, 3D snowflake out of an art history book. I used spray acrylic, although one I painted with watercolor.
