I'm supervising a graduate thesis that uses actor-network theory to explain cooling deserts in NYC. I just met with the student to go over the final version before submission, and I have to say that it is the best thesis I've ever seen. The CUNY Data Analysis and Visualization program includes both a white paper and a website, and both parts are outstanding. Wow. I'm so impressed. This is what makes teaching so satisfying.
