Just listened to a CNN podcast about possible censorship on TikTok by the new owners. They talked about Trump and Minneapolis (although only about Alex Pretti, *not* Renee Good), but not one damn word about Israel and the genocide in Gaza. Even though that was the motivation for the whole forced takeover.
Amazing. Another article about the "new" Larry Ellison-controlled version of TikTok without a single goddamned mention of Israel, which was the whole point of the takeover to begin with!

When I was young I was sent to a summer camp for two weeks. It was an ethnic camp; my people were the victims of one of the first genocides of the twentieth century, and that marked the soul of my people.
Although I'm 100% of that ethnicity (as far as that sort of thing is possible), I don't LOOK like a typical member of my people. It happens. About 1 out of one or two hundred of my people is born looking more like me.
When I went to the swimming pool at camp I was knocked down by a group of fellow campers and told that I wasn't allowed to use the pool because I "didn't look [ethnic]".
So now, 50 years later, I'm not surprised at all that Israelis are committing their very own genocide. I lost my illusion that victimhood bestowed moral clarity that day in camp.
