In November 1942, personnel from No. 450 Squadron RAAF captured a serviceable Henschel Hs 126 in the Libyan desert. Australian personnel repainted the aircraft with RAF roundels and the squadron code OK.
The captured Hs 126 was used mainly as a squadron hack aircraft for communications flights, local reconnaissance, and transport duties around North Africa. https://www.destinationsjourney.com/historical-military-photographs/henschel-hs-126-captured-by-australia/ #aeroplane #450squadron #aircraft #airplane #aviation #henschelhs126 #RAAF #royalaustralianairforce #ww2 #WWII
