It's pretty wild to be able to run Unix 3.51 on an emulated AT&T #3B1 system on #freebee. VI is installed, the GUI is interesting, but I can't get the cursor working or exit menus yet. There appears to be only one man page installed and it's for the se screen editor. This version of man appears to have no built-in pager. But you can just use more. Tools should do one thing and do it well.

@mike805 I also collect old computers :). That's an AT&T 3b1 on top. AKA the "Unix PC"

The Netgear switch will go away pretty soon. It's just too noisy. The little switch will replace it. (also the netgear is not POE).

Here's my #throwbackthursday contribution. This was my bedroom in 1988.

The large rack contained my #pdp11 34, with an RL02 drive under it. In the corner is an ATT #3b1 (aka #unixpc), with an old #mac next to it.

The thing I really miss is the #dec #gigi terminal in the middle. Very hard to find now. It was a graphics #vt100 compatible terminal.

The PDP11 ran #rsts. There's 2 more racks full of hardware for it off to the left. Was like being next to jetliner when it was running.

source for some 3b1 goodies, including a Y2K working date(1)!

(date-y2k needs year and setrtc, also in this directory)

Juan Perón teachs you how to install the AT&T 3B1 FreeBee emulator on Ubuntu!

Reunido en el 2º Congreso Confederal de la CGT, Juan Perón pronuncia un claro discurso en el cual enseña a emular una #AT&T #3B1 UNIX #PC7300 con System V en #Ubuntu.
