kimuMy strange bike week continues! For day 16 of #30DaysOfBiking, I biked with the teen to school. When I got home, I discovered that the charger for my n+1 ebike wasn’t working - definitely a charger and not a battery problem. It’s different than our other chargers & not one that is stocked at local shops. After a bit of panic, contacted our local bike shop, and now I have a loaner while they wait on my replacement wheel! #BikeTooter

With perfect weather to ride, sunny, warm and no wind, I decided to take a longer one, riding the entire Shooting Star State Trail from LeRoy to the Hormel Nature Center in Austin and back for 60 miles. There were a number of ephemeral woodland wildflowers along the trail in Lake Louise State Park, but the surprise was the Marsh Marigolds already in bloom in a marsh near Adams. There were more cyclists than I normally see on this trail due to good weather.

#30daysOfBiking Could we ever just tell cars to turn around / go away, instead of leaving a narrow residential street open to thru traffic during construction? (Chestnut winds down the hill off the end of this stretch of Vermont.) This street shouldn't even be open to thru traffic when it's not torn up and covered with steel plates. #Portland has cars for brains, bankrupting the city and saddling future generations with debt because of it. #pdxBikes #ClimateDenial #transportation #CarSupremacy
Halfway point for #30DaysOfBiking! Getting used to riding my “long adventure ride” bike on city streets while my other bike is in the shop is taking some adjusting & practice. I’ll get there though. Biked with the teen to school, then to my office, met @timcoffman for lunch, and tonight had stitching class at Buchanan Arts. Great rides all. #BikeTooter
PuppetheadDay 15: Pretty nice ride this evening, except the lower in elevation I went the cooler the air got. Barreling down hills got rather chilly.
