This I made this morning in watercolor class, it's very much out of my comfort zone style and technique wise. I don't know what's going on with the paper and the water up top, they looked pretty when I was painting and following guidelines. Anyhow, even though I dislike this, I'm a little haunted by it.

Painted first blue anemones of spring which dad photographed and sent me. Had an ok time exploring background making with wet on wet (on wet), but this paper makes ugly weird halos sometimes when it dries, so I'll probably start repainting this on some better paper later

Crows are pretty cool, their reasoning ability rivals that of a seven-year-old,they can use tools and solve complicated problems. They have an excellent memory and exhibit empathy and compassion as well as the ability to hold grudges if threatened or harmed.

Corn Silk - we attempted to grow corn one year. Don't think we had enough growing days because there was no harvest/ But it was magical watching the cobs form and that lovely glowing silk (the number of kernels on the corn can be counted by the strands of silk. Nature is so magical. This photo won 1st prize in a B&W Photo Contest.
