We kregen sinds gisteren veel hartverwarmende reacties en ook financiële steun, maar vooral bergen ongeloof over hoe ver Vlaanderen heen is met een minister die kritische onderzoeksjournalistiek in de knop wil breken en de democratie van binnenuit uitholt.

fuck no, I was a proton user til they released a fistful of not actually end-to-end encrypted LLM tools and a fucking bitcoin wallet and then their CEO predictably came out in favor of fascists. this gave me the context I needed to harshly reconsider their track record.

in an ideal world signal would be nothing special, but unfortunately we’re in the real world and signal is the one of the only things reliably doing table stakes privacy.

Ce projet est présenté comme un moteur de développement économique, pleinement intégré à la stratégie numérique du maire Gil Avérous comme à celle du gouvernement français. Très peu d’informations filtrent sur le terrain, malgré les questionnements sur son impact écologique et ses réels bienfaits.

Des organisations comme La Quadrature du Net et Le Nuage était sous nos pieds ont exprimé leurs craintes sur ces évolutions législatives.

Ik lees in de krant hoe AI helpt om doelwitten uit te kiezen in de zoveelste vuile oorlog (zie ook Gaza). Ik hoop dat iedereen die AI gebruikt hier conclusies uit trekt. Voorlopig is AI == Big Tech en is er geen ethische variant. Daarom is er ook geen ethisch gebruik. Tijd om de nuance te stoppen waar ze niet op z'n plaats is en keuzes op waarden te baseren.

This is yet another example of why we need a UN Tax Convention to fix global tax rules and finally make the super-rich pay their fair share, so there is real money for public services, climate action, and a green transition, instead of more loopholes for extreme wealth.
