I need nature. I need music. I need coffee. I need to feel safe and not pressured to be “on” all day.
I’m a little anxious about how this weekend is going to go.

I dabbled in other servers.
Turns out, I needed more coffee.
I think it’s actually an example of the problem that got us here in the first place. The people who are acting like they are heroes for “resisting” or whatever they think they’re doing are actually falling for this ego delusion that they matter and they have an opinion that must be heard.
Nobody ever cared about you opinion. They only cared about your eyeballs and your credit cards. That’s it. That’s all.
“I’m staying on this sinking ship!”
“There’s plenty of lifeboats. Matter of fact, there’s a super nice one right here.”
“No! If I abandon this ship, the captain who steered it directly into the iceberg will win!!”
“But…”
“No! Hashtag Stay!”
People who insist you #stay are forgetting, as always, the only true truth about corporate social media: You are the product.
Leave Twitter and the advertisers will leave Twitter. That’s the only way to make your voice heard. Stay on Twitter and the people you think you are fighting against will win.
Kettle thermometer is kaput. Took a wild guess on correct temp and made coffee anyway (because I live wild like that). But I am very disturbed that now I’m going to need to go into a store and buy a new one.
I don’t like stores.
Well, ok…maybe it’s the people in the stores.

This kingfisher was loudly fishing this morning, dive-bombing into the water and then orbiting in broad swoops while she sounded her mitraillage. She perched nearby for a while for what was almost a close-up.
For a few more recent #birds in #prospectpark:
