2022 Final Bird Tally: 283 species! Including my 100th species in California, Colorado, and Idaho.

2023 First Bird: House Sparrow, our noble Anthropocene companion.

January 1 tally: 28 species on a lovely day in Prospect Park! #birdingbrooklyn

#Introduction Hello! I am a Long-Island-born person who lives in #DykerHeights #Brooklyn. I enjoy a few things such as #Knitting and #BirdingBrooklyn both of which I approach casually! It's my love of #Podcasts that I really take seriously #TrueCrime being a favorite. I also love #Movies #Film Particularly love all those Regency-period stories. I'm a sucker for any form of Jane Austen.
Over the past year I've researched my family #Ancestry and have learned so much.

This kingfisher was loudly fishing this morning, dive-bombing into the water and then orbiting in broad swoops while she sounded her mitraillage. She perched nearby for a while for what was almost a close-up.
