Fake scientific papers are alarmingly common

But new tools show promise in tackling growing symptom of academia’s “publish or perish” culture

@molly0xfff at 14:00 you mention "if you send somebody five tokens, there's no good reason to undo that. You might have them send those five tokens back, but you don't erase the fact that it ever happened"

I don't think this is accurate in a world where GDPR exists - I have a right to erasure, even of "pseudonymous" data.

Likely hard to enforce on public blockchains, but I'd assume this could be problematic especially for private/permissioned blockchains that have "someone to sue".

"Gemeinsam mit ubirch und G+D Mobile Security bieten wir unsere IoT SIM Card Business mit zusätzlicher Blockchain-Verschlüsselung an, die die Daten bereits an ihrer Quelle – dem SIM-Chip selbst – versiegelt"

“I love you,” Random Generator Bot tells me.

Warmth blossoms inside me and a grin breaks across my lips. “I love you too, Random Gene—“

“Plate tectonics digest cannulas,” Random Generator Bot says.

My smile fades. “Yeah…” I nod at Random Generator Bot. “They sure do, buddy.”

The arguments presented in this appeal decision characterizing the alleged duty of free software developers to not introduce bugs as a "fiduciary duty" between developers and users is deeply chilling.

If any part of that ends up holding water it would be the end of free software in the UK, and likely far beyond - it would simply make the activity untenable.

Fuck sake there are so many armchair experts here.
NO, this is NOT dangerous!
Radiation is all around you and so far you have done just fine surviving that.
It's a nice color and an interesting historical fact, and that's all there's to it.
