The arguments presented in this appeal decision characterizing the alleged duty of free software developers to not introduce bugs as a "fiduciary duty" between developers and users is deeply chilling.

If any part of that ends up holding water it would be the end of free software in the UK, and likely far beyond - it would simply make the activity untenable.

Egads! I look at logic like that and see an attempt to require that all software developers (OSS or not) must subvert their users at the whims and benefit of the wealthiest whiner.
