Did you know Newton's first law of motion describes telepathy?

Something tells me I'm not fully focused on these notes

Testing out different seed starting mixes. From left:

coconut coir, coffee chaff, & worm castings mix;

coffee chaff & worm castings;

Just worm castings

All 3 have been sown with a lettuce mix that is fairly quick to germinate & are in my office which is warm & south facing so gets the most sunlight

One lap, two cats.

Here’s batch one:

Roughly 20% worm castings,
40% coconut coir, 40% coffee chaff.

I’d like to move to fully self produced mix and eliminate the coconut coir but my regular compost isn’t finished enough yet and going too high with castings can inhibit seed sprouting. I might experiment with one little batch of just coffee chaff and worm castings for some lettuce seeds. They’re so quick & easy to germinate it’ll be a quick test of whether it’ll work

Experimenting with adding coffee chaff in my seed starting mix. It’s really light & airy, and hydrophobic so shouldn’t clump up & get soggy. It’s a waste material produced by my business, currently composted
For hire: hot water pipe detection. Requires snacks. Highly efficient but temperamental
Little baggies of my drug of choice (plant seeds of course)

These buds were hard to photograph with my phone because of the wind making them sway but the russet and blush pink makes them look as pretty as any flower
