Glennis Cochrane did well from the divorce from Chuck. Despite his wealth, he had decided to represent himself, and, well, you know what they say about that. That he also decided to represent himself in the criminal assault case resulting from what happened outside the court was just icing on the cake. Court officials do not take well to being punched. 10-15 years before any chance of parole.

She sold the house, and purchased a charming heritage building near the CBD. A two story house with an attic. The estate agent said he was obliged to disclose that the house was haunted. Glennis laughed it off..

The reality was that the house really was haunted. She hadn't seen the ghost, but she'd heard it, and seen the effects.

Most noticeable was that the ghost was obsessive about the way the kitchen was set out. The pots and pans had to be just so. The crockery stacked the right way. And the pantry organised by date.

Once she'd figured that out, the ghost started on the bathroom. Then the living room.

The ghost had strong opinions about art. A Mondrian print ended up on the floor, but a Pollock reproduction stayed. Family photos were safe, but often got rearranged. Sometimes in different ways - it seemed that the ghost had moods. Her own paintings were untouched.

And that brought on the studio. Glennis had cleaned out the attic, and had a skylight put in, and set up the area as a studio. Every morning, her brushes would be cleaned, and but any work she'd covered would be uncovered.

Gradually, she started to feel someone watching her as she painted. Just the edge of a shadow out of the corner of her eye. A flicker of movement. So she started talking to the ghost.

About her day, about the divorce, about the current painting, the day's news. Just talking. When she told the presence about Chuck getting dogpiled by the court security team, she was certain she heard a hint of a giggle. And saw the hint of a figure.

Lidewij de Vos is de nieuwe lijsttrekker van FvD, de antidemocratische partij die fascistische kenmerken heeft. Ze kreeg onlangs in NRC een mooi podium om te vertellen dat ze de lijn van oprichter Thierry Baudet zal voortzetten. Ze boekte vrijdag een opmerkelijk politiek resultaat. Haar onzinnige motie om de niet bestaande organisatie Antifa als terroristische organisatie aan te merken werd met instemming van de VVD, PVV, BBB, JA21, SGP aangenomen. Hiermee volgt een Kamermeerderheid het voorbeeld van de Amerikaanse president Donald Trump, die de moord op de Maga-influencer Charlie Kirk heeft aangegrepen voor een kruistocht tegen alles wat hij als ‘radicaal links’ ziet.

Een niet bestaande organisatie als terroristisch bestempelen zet de deur open om alles dat naar anti-fascisme riekt als terroristisch aan te merken. Dit is het begin van de politiestaat. Wederom speelt de VVD een sleutelrol. Eerder zette de partij onder Dilan Yesilgöz - Zegerius de deur open naar de anti-democraat Wilders, nu stemt ze in met een motie van een fascistisch getinte partij die de rechtsstaat ernstig kan ondermijnen.

Ik voel me mijn hele leven al liberaal. Ik ben onlangs zelfs - en dat zal menigeen verrassen - lid van de VVD geworden. Omdat ik zie dat er binnen die partij een gebrek is aan mensen die hun mond open durven te trekken. Dat is nu meer nodig dan ooit, want de VVD speelt een sleutelrol in de ondermijning van de democratische rechtsstaat in Nederland. Zo blijkt opnieuw uit de stemming voor de motie van Vos. Verder ben ik lid van de Squash Bond Nederland (SBN) en de European Squash Federation (ESRF). Ook ben ik lid van de Vereniging van Onderzoeksjournalisten (VVOJ). Dat is het.

Zo lang ik mij kan herinneren, ben ik een ANTIFASCIST. Daarvoor hoef je niet ergens lid van te worden, dat ben je omdat je weet van de verschrikkingen die fascisten in de vorige eeuw hebben aangericht. Ik ben het omdat ik het fascisme weer zie opkomen. Ik spreek me dan graag openlijk over mijn ANTIFASCISME uit zonder dat ik daarbij wordt aangemerkt als terrorist. Wanneer u er ook zo over denkt, like deze post dan even of deel zelf een post met #IKBENEENANTIFASCIST. Daarmee levert u een actieve bijdrage om de aangenomen motie van Vos zo snel mogelijk te laten belanden waar ze thuishoort: op de vuilnisbelt van de vaderlandse geschiedenis.
