My last thing for this year: my first try at #visualnovel . Created in #renpy and entered into the monthly #WeekSauce jam on #itchio
I managed to delete several code lines which I really needed for layouting! Thankfully their Discord is very helpful. It's also my first try at a) adding audio + b) using stock art. Being an artist myself makes me think "I can just whip something up", but this still costs me time that may be better invested elsewhere. So here we are:

While still braving #AdventOfCode in #Python every day, I am working on the tiniest visual novel for this month's #WeekSauce jam, trying out #RenPy.

Dialog is in, first #gameart is done, now it's basically just finetuning and I'll be done - it's supposed to be short. Still have to find a SFX for a lightswitch and hopefully some looping music. Thankfully there are many talented composers out there.
