The #WCK team has provided 16k lbs of fresh fruit & veggies, 1,600 hot meals, and water to #Crestline residents impacted by #snow storms. Residents have also helped us deliver food to the rest of the region, ensuring we meet the needs of all affected communities.
On February 24, 2022, life in #Ukraine was forever changed.
#WCK arrived within hours of the invasion & a year later, we continue to stand alongside residents living in unthinkable circumstances.

One year ago, Russia launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine. On February 24, 2022 World Central Kitchen served the first meals to people fleeing for safety. Our team has since provided more than 210 million meals to support families in an ever-changing war. We continue to serve meals every day.
While delivering meal kits to a small village in the #Kherson Oblast, the #WCK team met a young child playing in a set of ruins.

It’s common for people picking up #WCK food kits in Ukraine to come by bike—some ride for 30 minutes each way for the support.
The kits are heavy, full of items including flour, rice, oil, canned meat & veggies, and tea—enough to last families between deliveries.
