I explained it gets a lot better as seasons go on, and he lost interest 3/4 the way through.
At least it doesn't get all that much worse from here.

We just finished "Code Of Honor" and its certainly been a while since I have seen this episode and it is as bad as I remembered it.
Even my son who normally is pretty blind to these things due to his form of autism picked up on the racist undertones with "Why are the aliens bad guys and all black people?"
Yeah. This hurt and the fact the show survived this is astounding.

So.....my kid Zeb decided he wanted to work through all of TNG. We are just on The Naked Now and it is astounding how poorly the enterprise handles a possible pathogen situation. Nah dont quarantine the guy with clear signs of infection. No protocols in place. none. This season hits different post COVID.
Sitting down finally to watch Picard Season 3, Episode 5.
Really been digging this season and the naysayers can just...naysay elsewhere.
