I got one of those AIOC boards and (badly) soldered on the k-connector… this exposes Rx and Tx as audio in/out to a host computer - and CAT control if the radio supports it. Early days, but I will share if I have any joy. Are you thinking APRS or something else?

If I understand correctly, VK callsigns issued under the new class license no longer expose any PII... good for us newbies I suppose?

G'day from WA! VK6, that is. I am Lee, in my early 40's and found my way to amateur radio once working in enterprise IT / software started to mean having to constantly interpret AI slop instead of learning anything new.

I'm still seeking my ham niche, but I think starting with antennas is going to keep me busy. I am open to contributing to an open source ham project if I might be useful in, whether that be code, testing, doc etc.
